Geneva is just something else in winter
The lake views from the Quai du Mont-Blanc are absolutely stunning when there's snow on the Alps in the background. The city feels clean, calm and very walkable. Fondue here is the real deal too.
Great city for a weekend escape
Geneva has so much going on without feeling overwhelming. The Old Town is beautiful and easy to explore on foot. The chocolate shops along Rue du Rhône are dangerous for your wallet but totally worth it. Really polished city overall.
Loved every bit of it
Came for a few days and left seriously impressed. Lake Geneva is gorgeous and the Jet d'Eau is way more dramatic in person than in photos. Food is pricey but the quality is there. Very easy city to get around and people are friendly.
So much to see and do here
Geneva really delivers for a city trip. The Carouge neighbourhood has a totally different feel from the rest of the city - super laid-back with good cafés and local shops. The public transport is excellent and the whole place just feels very well put together.
Beautiful city, especially by the lake
Walking along the lake in December was cold but stunning. The Christmas market near Place de la Fusterie was lovely with good mulled wine and local crafts. Geneva feels safe, clean and very easy to navigate even if you don't speak French.
A proper European city break
Really enjoyed Geneva. The raclette we had near the Old Town was honestly some of the best food of the whole trip. The mix of French culture and Swiss precision just works. Everything runs on time, the streets are spotless and there's always something to look at.
